Dates and Deadlines

You are responsible for checking these deadlines and completing the associated tasks.

February:

  • RSVP to the Program Director within 2 weeks of receiving your acceptance letter, with your intent to attend (or not attend) the program, otherwise you may be moved to the waitlist;
     
  • Review this full webpage, including
  • Submit your Student Profile information;
     
  • Begin to arrange your travel to Yale - consider arriving at least 2 days in advance to get your Yale ID, become familiar with the campus, and get settled in your housing;
     
  • Start to work with your sponsoring institution if you wish to receive course credits.

March-April:

  • Choose your housing - either Yale Dorms or sublet from a current Yale affiliate (click here to view sublets);
  • Acquire health insurance (it is required); 
  • Choose your seminars -  please see this list which will be finalized soon.
  • Introduce yourself on our private Facebook page.
  • Check on the status of your visa (international students only; see below);
  • Arrange to pay your tuition.

April 15th:

  • Provide Yale with any requirements for course credits from your home institution;

May 15th:

  • Payment is due in FULL for tuition;
  • Payment is due in FULL for Yale Housing (if you choose to stay there).

May 29-31:

  • Students begin to arrive in New Haven.  Please stop by the Center to meet us and so that we can get you registered and settled. We can’t wait to meet you!
  • Get your student ID;
  • Get settled in your housing;
  • Find your classrooms; 
  • Clarify any billing issues;
  • Meet fellow students;
  • Register at the International Office (if you are not from the U.S.).
  • English not your first language? No problem! Come to “English Club” to practice before the Institute begins;

June 1st:

  • First day of the program; we start at 9 am;

July 22: 

  • Last day of the program; this day is a Saturday, and attendance is required.
