Current Funded Research
Stephen Latham (Director) is working on a project with Elena Grigorenko, PhD and Mei Tan (Yale Child Study Center) and Susan Bouregy (Yale HIPAA Privacy Officer) on Genetics and Education. The project will produce overviews of the genetics literature relating to children’s learning capacities, analyses of focus-group and stakeholder interviews around school responses to growing information about students’ genetic makeup, and an edited volume (The Cambridge Companion to Genetics and Education (Cambridge University Press, forthcoming 2015). The project is funded by a grant from the Spencer Foundation.
Latham is a Principal Scientist in the Development Core of Yale’s Center for Interdisciplinary Research on AIDS (“CIRA”), where he conducts trainings on Responsible Conduct of Research with CIRA Scholars, offers ethics-related peer review of research proposals, and is a member of the working group on Criminalization of HIV Status. CIRA is funded by a grant from NIMH.
