Cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin have been in the news, but less attention gets paid to blockchains, the underlaying technology that will have an impact far beyond monetary transactions. Our next presenter will be Melanie Swan, a philosopher and economic theorist, who founded the Institute for Blockchain Studies, as well as other groups focused upon the ethics, development, and oversight of emerging technologies.
